Upcoming Event: Titanium Welding Forum

EWI is partnering with The Defense Metals Technology Center and Stark State College of Technology to present a one-day regional event on June 23 at EWI facilities in Columbus, Ohio.

The welding of specialized materials such as Titanium requires specific training. Creating a workforce to meet industry need in these skilled areas will drive economic growth and stimulate advances in industrial applications for advanced materials. Cost: $65.00 (Visa, Mastercard, and checks accepted). Pre-registration is required. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Nate Ames Receives Award

Nate Ames, EWI Business Development Manager for the Energy & Chemical Industry, has received the 2008 Best Young Engineer award for his presentation titled "Emebedded Sensor for Offshore Component Life Extension" by the Deep Offshore Technology organization. The award was presented in Houston, Texas by Eldon Ball, Director, Petroleum Conference -- Pen Well Corporation.

John King Is New Business Development Manager
