2005 AWS
Fellows Honored at the Dallas Exhibition
During the Welding Show 2005 in Dallas, Tex.,
the American Welding Society conferred Fellow or Counselor status on
individuals for their continuous and lasting contributions to science and
technology in welding.
The honorary title of AWS Fellow was
established in 1990 to recognize members who have made distinguished
contributions and promoted and sustained professionalism in the field of
welding science and technology.
Harvey
R. Castner — For his extensive experience in welding research and
development, manufacturing, and engineering management. And for his research
which resulted in the development and commercialization of fluxes for the gas
tungsten arc welding process and for providing an analytical approach to
determining crack-resistant weld compositions.
