supply chain services

If, like many companies, you outsource some of your manufacturing processes or have distributed operations, you may need to gain greater control of your supplier's manufacturing processes. EWI assists Member companies by troubleshooting materials joining issues that arise within the supply chain.

By performing various types of assessments and analyses at a supplier's site, we help suppliers speed production cycles or adapt to production changes and ultimately, improve profitability for manufacturers and suppliers alike.

Solving Problems Without Delay
EWI recoginzes that time is a costly luxury in any manufacturing operation and so our engineers are often called upon to make plant visits where immediate results are necessary. A variety of criteria, including equipment, welding processes, assembly and fixturing, material, rework, and scrap are often analyzed to quickly resolve supply chain problems.

End-to-End Review and Assessment
Beyond recommendations for immediate improvements, EWI engineers may also suggest the initiation of a Total Quality Joining Assessment. This activity focuses on
medium to longer term goals such as a formal process for creation of Weld Procedure Specifications or Weld Qualtiy Review documentation and welder certification to meet Advanced Product Quality Planning and other formal assessment and approval programs for new products.
