EWI successfully installed the first EWI AdvanceTrainer beta at an industrial member company. The trainer will be used for demonstrations and testing for user feedback. This feedback will be used for further development of features and functions.
This beta unit is the first fully functional system for tracking welder motions while actually welding. The system is capable of measuring critial arc and torch manipulation parameters for three positions and associated joint types.
New recently added features include voltage and wire-feed sensors, improved calibration setup, and improved accuracy. The provided clip shows the live results of a horizontal fillet weld made by member company personnel during the installation training session.
